Doris Jean Eddleman has been actively involved with real estate for 25 years and now has 10 licensed agents working in her office. She was born and reared in Hooks, Texas, received a BS from East Texas State in Commerce, and a MS from TWU in Denton. She taught P. E. and English for 30 years --- the last 25 years with the Graham ISD. She retired from teaching in 1994 and has been working full-time in real estate in the Graham area. Her husband, Ronald Eddleman, a Young County native, taught Vocational Agriculture for 33 years - his last 28 years with Newcastle ISD. John Paclik has maintained his real estate license forever 27 years on a part time basis, working afternoons and weekends. He has worked 34 years for the USDA Natural Resource and Conservation Service, and plan to pursue real estate full time after retirement. John graduated from Gainesville High School and received his BS degree from Texas A&M University majoring in Range Management with a minor in Wildlife Science. John's wife Shelley, also graduated from GHS, and received a Fine Arts degree from Angelo State University. She is a library aid at Graham High School. Both daughters, Ashley and Meghan, graduated from Graham High School and Texas A&M respectively. Ashley and husband, Cody, reside south of Alpine and she works for Capital Farm Credit. Teresa Matney has been a licensed real estate agent for 22 years. Teresa is a Graham native and a graduate of Graham High School and attended MIdwestern University. She is married to Jr. Matney who is a retired postmaster at Olney and also a real estate agent. They have one son, Scott, who is an attorney at Hunton-Williams in Houston and 2 granddaughters Madeliene and Mia. Teresa enjoys spending her spare time with friends and family, raising and training show llamas and riding her horse. Jr. Matney has had his real estate license for 18 years. He is native of Wilbarger County. Jr. graduated from Northside HIgh School and attended MIdwestern University. He spent 6 years in Army National Guard. He is currently the postmaster of Olney, Texas and has spent 32 years working for the postal service. He is currently a part-time realtor and plans on selling real estate full time when he retires. He has been married to Teresa for 36 years and they have one son Scott who is an attorney for Jenkins and Gilcrest in Houston, Texas. He is grandpa to Madeleine 4 years and Mia 2 years. Beginning her second career, Janie Faris was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. She attended Texas Wesleyan University and received a Bachelor of Music degree in 1977 and a Master of Education in 1983. Her 31-year career in public education ranged from teaching in elementary and middle school as well as being an administrator in schools from K-12. Janie retired as principal of Heritage Elementary in Keller ISD in December of 2007. She continues her work in education with her company, Faris Educational Support and as an adjunct professor at Texas Wesleyan University where she also serves on the Board of Trustees. Her husband, Evan is also a TWU graduate and is currently the Chief Information Officer for Burleson ISD. Both Evan and Janie have served as President of the TWU Alumni Association. Keeping their involvement in music active, Evan is also the Director of Music and Fine Arts at Aledo United Methodist Church. Originally, their friendship with college alums Mike and Anne Skipper led to their involvement with the Graham Regional Theatre and numerous trips to Graham for the summer productions. It didn’t take long to fall in love with this community, and now the entire family resides in Graham. Their daughter Stephanie and her husband, Christian Sanders, both teach at Graham High School, and are major creative forces with Graham Regional Theatre and also assist with the Graham Drive-In. Stephanie teaches dance at Renee’s Dance Factory. Granddaughter, Faris Emily is thrilled to have Grammy and Pop living in Graham! |
